Terms & Conditions
1. These are the Terms and Conditions to which you agree to pay for the service(s) supplied to you by The Mag Specialist
2. The accuracy of information supplied to us, by yourself, is wholly your responsibility
3. Should a locknut key , or other unique device be required to remove/refit your wheel, such device should be supplied by yourself
4. Owners must ensure their vehicle(s) are comprehensively covered by their personal insurance, when leaving the vehicle(s) at The Mag Specialist
5. The Mag Specialist will not be held responsible or be liable for the following:
a. Loss of items left in the vehicle b. Damage to items left in the vehicle c. Mechanical or technical faults on the vehicle
6. It is your responsibility to ensure that the 'Scrutiny Form' is completed accurately when booking in your vehicle.
7. The Mag Specialist is not responsible for the safe delivery or collection of wheels by courier. Such wheels must be insured by the owner.
8. The safe and legal condition of your tyres remains your responsibility. However, upon mutual agreement, The Mag Specialist can replace your tyres if required.
9. Following wheel refurbishment, it is your responsibility to ensure the wheel nuts are secure when refitted to the vehicle. Furthermore, regular inspections should be carried out by yourself, to ensure the wheels are securely fastened and in a safe condition for driving.
10. As a policy, all tyres stripped and refitted, will have their valves replaced at a small additional charge. Should it be your request to refit the existing valves, The Mag Specialist will not be held responsible for leaks or damage to the tyre or rim, caused by tyre deflation.
11. Should latent defects (such as corrosion, poor maintenance etc) only be discovered after stripping the wheel, The Mag specialist, will not be liable or responsible for the integrity of the wheel, and our technicians may suggest discarding the wheel.
12. Split rims require a specific process for refurbishment. It is your responsibility to contact the manufacturer to ascertain any protocol or procedure that needs to be adhered to. The discretion and responsibility of refurbishing split rims remains with you.
13. Certain finishes are prone to show blemishes more than others. Although we cannot guarantee a perfect finish, The Mag Specialist will guarantee to vastly improve the appearance of the wheel
14. A wheel rated as 'Very Poor Condition' by our technicians, will require an advanced stripping process, which will have an additional cost. However, The Mag Specialist Customer Liaison Executive will endeavour to contact you for approval before beginning the process
15. During the refurbishment process, should our technicians find that any extra process is required for the refurbishment of your wheel, we reserve the right to adjust the cost, however , The Mag Specialist Customer Liaison Executive will endeavour to contact you for approval before beginning the process
16. At The Mag Specialist we endeavour to provide a 'same day service'. For this to be achieved, the following criteria must be met:
a. The wheels should be at our premises by 08:30 b. The wheels have no latent defects delaying the process c. The rims are 17 inch or smaller d. A 'standard' finish is requested
17. To facilitate other customers, all completed wheels must be collected from our premises before 17:30. Any vehicle left overnight at our premises will be subjected to an additional charge of R200. Any loose wheel left at our premises more than 7 days, will be subjected to an additional charge of R100 per day, and after 3 months the wheel will be sold to offset our costs.
18. When making a booking, The Mag Specialist will provide a calculated date and time for completion of the refurbishment. Should circumstances be such, that the completion time cannot be met, The Mag Specialist will not be held liable or responsible for the delay. We will however, do our utmost to reduce the delay.
19. Payment for services provided by The Mag specialist shall be cash, credit card or debit card, and will be subject to the appropriate bank fees applicable at the time.
20. No item refurbished by The Mag Specialist will be removed from the premises until full payment has been received.
21. Upon collection of your vehicle and signing the 'Release' form, the vehicle will become your responsibility
22. Should you have any queries or complaints, these must be submitted in writing to our Customer Liaison Executive within 48 hours of collecting your vehicle
23. A 12 month guarantee is offered by The Mag Specialist. For this to remain valid, the following criteria must be met:
a. Only products supplied by The Mag Specialist have been used on the wheel b. The wheel has only been subjected to normal road driving conditions. ie no off road driving, or accident damage c. The original invoice must be presented by yourself The Mag Specialist will assess the situation and the condition, and will reserve the right to repair/replace/refund. The Mag Specialist's decision will not be negotiable.
24. Claims made against the 12 month guarantee, are at The Mag Specialist discretion, and will be proportionate to the invoice cost representing the unsatisfactory repair, and will be limited to the invoice amount.
25. Should a claim be made without the original invoice, any repair will be at the full discretion of The Mag Specialist
26. The terms and conditions are subject to the South African Law, and the courts will have jurisdiction should any issue not be resolved in accordance with these terms and conditions
27. Should circumstances be beyond the control of The Mag Specialist, to perform our obligations, The Mag Specialist will not be held liable or responsible. These circumstances include but are not limited to: Act of God, war, Civil disturbance, riots, flood, lightning, fire, industrial action, strikes, the act or omission of any person for whom The Mag Specialist is not responsible
28. The Mag Specialist reserves the right to alter and amend these terms and conditions whenever it deems necessary to do so. The terms and conditions in force at the time of your booking will be the terms and conditions applicable.
